JACK WILKINS/Until It’s Time:  A resounding smash of a guitar album.  Bright, polished, upbeat jazz that’s just fun to listen to.  Soundtracks, classic jazz, some redone pop covers and an overall good vibe that manqués could learn a lot from, Wilkins brings his chops that have been honed over 40 years to bear front and center in fine style.  Not ground breaking or left leaning, it’s nothing but solid, mainstream playing so buoyant and swinging that it could single handedly shake the hipster stigma off words like solid and mainstream.  Hot stuff throughout.
