Here's a new CD “All Things Familiar” just out by Guitarist Dan Adler. Maybe not as well known as some, but this recording will certainly take care of that I would think. Ten tunes with six originals by Dan. Extraordinary playing by Dan and company. Besides Dan's glittering tone and precision, it features Grant Stewart on tenor, Richard Samuels, piano, Dmitri Kolesnik, bass, and Phil Stewart, drums.
The standards on this disc are all well known and Dan treats them with high regard. “Star Eyes”, “You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To”, “Emily” and “I Love You”. The title track is a clever take on “All the Things You Are”.
Dan shows off his considerable technique with much taste and professionalism.
I highly recommend this CD. Well done Dan and company!
